mooric
Aiptasia?
Starsprinkle Rainbowsmile
I agree, I'm pretty new to all this too, but it definitely looks like Aiptasia to me. I've got some in my tank I'm trying to rid of. I just put two peppermint shrimps in there; hopefully they'll clean 'em up but peppermints can be hit or miss on the pest anemones. Derek
Definitely an Aiptasia. Some peppermint shrimp or a copperband butterfly fish will take care of it.

+o0zarkawater
Mama speaks the truth. I got 5 peppermints from her today to combat the aptasia I picked up earlier with some liverock. Hopefully peppermints + aptasia X will get this rock ready to go into my big tank. Right now I put it all in a tank of its own, until I can get it taken care of. Your one little guy is nothing! I do suggest taking care of it ASAP, as you can see, they can get out of hand pretty easily. Jon.Hanna
Hey Mama, How many of those do you think I need, My tank is a 29 Gallon but I would be interested in picking up a couple from you. I was thinking 2 of them but do you think that is enough. Also what part of town are you in. I could possibly come and get them today or tomorrow depending on were you are. Thanks. Carrie
I picked up some of Mama's peppermints a few months ago when I had 20-30 Aptasia. I didn't add any chemicals, and they slowly disappeared. Each morning I would wake up and 2-3 would be missing! I added three shrimp to my 75 and haven't seen any bad anemones in the last few months. The shrimp now eat whatever I feed the fish. Carrie
