mFrame
Over the last week several "pinched" spots have appeared on my Devi's hand leather. It almost looks as if about 4-5 smaller pieces are pinching off. This pinched area is very dark to almost black. I'm not sure if they're doing this to propagate or if there is something wrong with it. Don't have pictures today but can post later. Anyone seen this before? NonSequitur
One of mine did this when it started forming 'fingers'.. when I added it to the tank it was a single, round-ish piece, then it got the pinched look, now it looks more like the photos I've seen of devil's hand leather. JamesL
While not devils hand, my toadstool leather started getting rips in it and self propagated. So your pinches might be similar.
medi
my devil's hand has been doing the exact same thing for about two months. It has kicked off at least eight frags. When it is about to shed a frag almost all polyp extension stops, but after a couple of days it is fat and happy again. I believe this is just how it propagates.
