Dena
I was just wondering where most people put their chalice pieces in the tank? I've got the new Solana with a 250W Geismann MH. Thanks, Dena
Hamp
I would start it low Dena with the 250. I started mine at the bottom and slowly moved it up about 11 inches form my 250 where its happy. Its the hot lava. I have heard that some of the green and blue colored ones like even less.
Dena
I've been messing with the tank all day...my hand is all pruny. I have it more towards the bottom of the tank right now...it's been under this light before, but I can't remember where the person had it. I've never had one so I didn't want to kill it. Oh...that fire fish from Yasmin is pretty cool. It doesn't hide at all. My other one never comes out of the rocks.
mhart032
I have lava aswell and i kept mine about 1/2 way up the tank 1/2 under an overhang and 1/2 way out. it loves it and its growing like a weed.
+dapettit
The brighter the color the closer to the light.. But like stated above start it in the bottom of the tank as each tank is different. My strawberry likes low to medium flow. Dave-

mhart032
Its supposed to like high flow. but i dont have alot of flow over mine. i got my frag from Yasmin and she had it high already under 250w mh so i knew where i could put it and what it was used to. it helped alot. Chad and Belinda
We kept all of our chalices in the sand bed. We liked their color and the amount of growth we got from them. There may be a better location, but this one worked well for us. Lots of dogs, but their sweet and happy.
