Algae

What everyone else says, but I think the answer is this is a new tank. If so, then this is normal. There will be ugly periods, possibly up to many weeks. But once your tank cycles, and becomes established, the algae will go away... as long as you keep up with water changes and don't overfeed.

i got some mexican turbos, and wow are these things magic? how do they get the places the get? i looked this morning and this snail was on the korilia then the over flow box then the powerhead. sheesh and they do tear up some algae and diatoms... i love these little guys...

Yeah, they are great. The only draw back is they can bulldoze things like coral and loose rocks.
