I contacted Vivid directly on Friday and talked my our rep and he says they have lots of great things in stock and that they can get most items we want in 1 day... So...I'm heading up another one! Vividaquariums.com has a great selection of just about everything, including FISH so peruse their website, then place your order keeping in mind the following: - Order closes, Friday, May 29th @12p - Pickup will be @ my house, 8422 Jamestown Dr, 78758 or if we have enough people, I can coordinate a central pickup. - if we have enough "southies", I'll coordinate a southern pickup. - The shipment usually arrives @ 10:30a so if you can schedule breaking away from lunch or working from home, its a great way to get your goods early! - minimum GROUP total order is $150. So if we don't get enough interest to have a total order value of $150, it won't go - $225+ qualifies for free shipping, otherwise shipping is a flat $30. After the free shipping discount, they will just charge us $10 for the box. We'll split this charge among everyone involved. - $500+ gets us a 10% discount - Dry goods DO NOT count towards our order total Payment works as such: I have to order and pay for everything myself. They won't let everyone pay individually then group our orders together (like @ reefcleaners.org). So I'm requesting that everyone either pay cash or paypal directly to me before 12p on Friday, 5.29. Once I get everyone's order, I'll confirm it with them, then send the order off. PLEASE NOTE: If you are paying via paypal, be sure to add 3% for paypal fees. I'll let people chime in with pictures of what they got from vivid in the past. I've had GREAT customer service from them and MORE than generous frags so you won't be disappointed. This was supposed to be an 8-10 polyp frag and they gave us this...more than 15 polyps easy. Here is another pic of an SPS frag that dapettit ordered. (Purple piece in the center) It was supposed to be 3/4" inch and it was over an inch with a completely encrusted base. Did I mention it was only $40 after the discount? +mcallahan Posted May 19, 2009 Author Share Posted May 19, 2009 Ok, I've moved the deadline back to Friday, May 29th @ 12p for several reasons: 1. chiu pointed out that vivid updates their website on Wednesday mornings with new items and new on sale items. I confirmed this fact with Vivid yesterday. By moving it to Friday, that will give people time to decide what they want given the new items that might show up. 2. Several people get paid on that Friday (including me) and would like to increase their order since they'll have money to burn. If this new deadline throws off your order for whatever reason, please let me know VIA PM so we can discuss. If enough people want to order by Wednesday @ 12p, with the hopes of getting the items on Thursday the 28th, I could arrange that. I can't promise that they ship it that day, but we can see.
