+olaggie01
Got the rocks out of the acid bath and set up a few to see how they stacked. Just a couple of pics. Not settled on one style or another yet. I doubt I will stack all the flat rocks like I did here.

+olaggie01
One of the things I had to do before the new tank arrived was to break down my 360 tank. I was already in the process of doing it as we are remodeling the office. Yesterday I got a chance to start removing rock and fish. Took quite a while and I found a few pests. Put some of the old rock in with the new Marco rock to start cycling the rock. I've got tons of really nice rock to work with now. Pulled out 5 or 6 Rbtas as well and have them in the pink basket Anyone ever seen such large bubble algae? And then there was this guy. Scared me half to death Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
FarmerTy
Holy gargantuan bubble algae! You could farm those things and stop world hunger! Funny thing is I found a crab exactly like that in my sump last night too. I'll watch where my fingers go down there from now on! Goodbye Megatank... And mega bubble algae too! Sascha D.
Wow! That BA is a monster! Was it somewhere hidden or just didn't bother you? I'm crazy about Valonia, like crazy eyes with a twitch crazy!
BornToHula
Wow I thought I had removed a couple of big bubbles in my tank but those are at least twice as big!
Gig 'em @ NDstructible
Sheesh, you could make one heck of a water balloon out of those things Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Let's hope that mega BA doesn't show up in the next tank. Of course, it is a lot easier to remove than the smaller ones. I thought that crab was a mutant emerald but I think he might have been eating all my snails. Bugger.

+olaggie01
THANK YOU ECOTECH MARINE!!! Got my ecotech package in the mail today. 3 huge boxes arrived. Pretty sure the UPS guy is starting to hate me. The large box contained the Nyos skimmer. I'm most excited about this as I've heard great things about this skimmer but have yet to see one in person. Construction is great. Extremely well put together and solid. Cup could be a little bigger but it has a drain so not a big deal. Can't wait to see why nasties it pulls out. +olaggie01
Also received from Ecotech was a pair of quiet drive mp40s. Can't wait to see how these rock the Reef Savvy.
+olaggie01
And the last box contained lights, a pair of radion xr30w Pros plus single mounts. This tank will be BRIGHT!!!
+olaggie01
One final post. Ecotech Marine included a reef link at no cost. I couldn't be happier as I was about to buy one. Going to be awesome to link everything together. THANK YOU ONCE AGAIN ECOTECH MARINE!!!
Bpb
Yup. 2 gallons of muratic acid. Be very careful. Don't inhale. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk[/quote Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Reburn
Just a heads up on the reeflink. I fought mine for a couple days on this. You have to open port 80 AND 8080. It initializes on port 80 and the load balancing falls it over to 8080. If you have problems call me. It's wonderful once you get it running. +olaggie01
Apparently table space at Reef Savvy is at a premium. I'm hoping that my tank may be able to sneak onto a table soon. Felix has been great to work with

+BobcatReefer
Holy schmoly! Congrats on your amazing luck! That tank size is pretty close to my ultimate goal w/ the stand I have now (48"x24") so I'm going to follow this build w/ keen interest (and tons of jealousy!) Felix has been great to work with I ordered mine in June 2015 and I don't expect to see it until April 2016, based on Reburn's experience. Lots of time to plan .... +olaggie01
Ty stopped over today to help me play with some of the rocks. Going to take these that we have identified and dip them again in muratic. I'm mixing some new and old rocks so I want to remove any pests from the beginning Thought was 2 islands sloping left to right and right to left.
