Sascha D.
That is quite the list Makena! Have you been bringing work home with you again ? Where do you find the time?
Makena95GT
Lol all but the snake and the baby gecko I've had for a while. Typically each animal gets certain days of the week for cleaning and "playtime". Except the big hermit crab. Hes a jerk. The others are nice lol I finally gave up all my tanks and fish at the high school and officially donated them and probably wont be returning there to volunteer anymore. So now I only have 4 fish tanks at home! Lol but 8 tanks counting reptiles and crabs Sent from my LGLS740 using Tapatalk

ckyuv
Maggie and Oakley are my golden and my Aussie, they are the reason my filter socks have hair in them... Eddie is not technically ours as she's a free roaming deer but ever since she got hit by a car out front she lives in our yard and we feed her and play with her every day. It wasn't easy to get them to sit still for a pic And then the rabbit....

We've had her for over two years. Hey JGon, I believe yours is female. At two years the males should have a tall crest on the back of the neck and the spikes will be longer going down the body. The males will also have a wide triangular head instead of the narrow female head. You should see white pores on the underside of the back legs in a female. You might have to Google what they look like to see. I hope this helps!

Then they said males don't always have those features you described. I've always thought it was a female since we got her. I mean she looks like a female. That's why my little girl named her Sofia. Lol. I tried looking under her legs too and she won't let me. Sent from my SPH-L520 using Tapatalk
Sascha D.
As I understand it, juveniles look like females until they are 1.5 - 2 years old. Around this time they start to display sexual traits. That's why pet shops can't accurately tell the difference. I'm not sure when they start laying eggs, but I do know that females have additional care requirements for good health. I stopped working with reptiles in 2000, so I don't remember everything, but it may be worth looking up.

+BobcatReefer
Very cool Makena! You have quite the zoo going there! The neighbors have a bearded dragon and a couple of geckos, but none as colorful as yours. All I have is this guy: he needs a buddy, so i'll be looking for another pup here in a couple of months. he's a handful since my other dog passed in feb. we do have lots of visitors though...
