Check your doser tubing!

Noticed over the past few weeks I've struggled to keep up my calcium levels. Despite setting the Apex to dose ca and alk at identical increments, my calcium just kept falling and falling requiring frequent bolus doses to elevate. Noticed it was 350 ppm this morning so I had to inspect my dosers. Tubing was dry. So I set them to "on" instead of "auto". Sure enough. No longer was drawing fluid. Glad i bought some replacement tubing last Christmas. Looks like mine lasted about 15 months. Not bad as brs recommends annual replacement. Looks like they're right. The old tubing vs the new tubing is noticeable. The old was dark yellow and felt like it has lost all elasticity. I'm wondering if silicone tubing would last longer?
