So after tearing down my 125 I started a little 20 gallon Nano till I do my new build. I started cycling some live rock a while back. When I put the rock in the new tank put the LED's on and bam Aiptasia just popped right up. I went to the LFS to pick up some peppermint 2 Peppermint shrimp. I got the advise to get ones that are more clear with the red lines really defined within 2 days almost all of the Aiptasia is gone. So when you go shopping for peppermint shrimp look for the ones that are more clear then red and the red line are really defined just my 2 cents.

There are several kinds of shrimp sold as peppermint shrimp. There is only one kind that actively eats aiptasia. I don't get on this soap box because most people say "whatever". Camel shrimp are many times mistaken for peppermint shrimp. There are many posts about this on RC and R2R.

These are all shrimps commonly sold as "Peppermint" shrimp. Only L. wurdemanni is actually the peppermint shrimp we want in our tanks.
