lenver
So I will be starting a new tank pretty soon right now it's at Niko's getting drilled, getting an overflow box, 2 returns and 3 drains, along with it there will be also a 29 next to it running on the same system that will be used as a frag tank at first but eventually will have smaller animals that would not do well in the big system. I will start dismantling my 150 tall when I have this one ready to go, all equipment will be used on the new tank, along with a few upgrades, dosing pumps, reefkeeper already running on the 150, will update once it's been finished drilled and prepared.
jolt
That is *really* tall. Should be amazing ...
lenver
I think it's 72x24x36, is going to be awesome, my idea is to build a DIY 3D background like this then with my live rock build towers with fiberglass rods that will be place in the middle having the fish going in and out of them while the background gives it depth.

lenver
Yes still doing the background, will be expensive and labor intensive but it will be worth it
lenver
Progress today, about one third of the sanding done, wasted time starting late, doing errands and getting the sanding paper, will start early tomorrow, I'm on vacations for the rest of the week
+KimP
Wow that's a huge tank with unique dimensions. I love your idea for it, with the towers and background. Can't wait to see how it turns out!
Dustin Pedretti
I saw that over at Nikos and was eyeballing it before my move. The cube being part of the deal was probably the most awesome part of it lol Sent from my KFTT using Tapatalk

jestep
This is awesome. If you thought the 150 is deep to work in I want to see a video of messing with the sandbed in this tank. Scuba mask?
FarmerTy
Stand looks great! I want to see a video too! After running at 28" deep tank, I now know this is the deepest I'd ever want!
lenver
BTW I wanted to give thanks to jimbo662 and Timfish, James thanks for lending me the suction cups they helped sliding the tank, and Tim I cannot even begin to say how without your lift there is no way that 3 people could of load this tank into the trailer and only 2 people to take it from the trailer into the garage, thanks
lenver
Got the cube needs for the trim to dry out, and a 55G sump, both will be cleaned, the sump will probably be reconfigured a little bit for my needs
