Jellyfish
I've got some new live rock a while ago from my LFS and didn't notice this on it when I got it. Whatever it is, its spreading fast. Should I be worried about it, I'm hoping its not the thing that sting your other corals. Help and what do I do about it.
Bogdan
Looks like a green button palys to me. It doesn't sting, but it grows/spreads fast in right environment.
Robb in Austin
Yep. Some type of green paly. Can be good or bad depending on your view of green palys. I'd recommend moving them away from any other rock lest they take over all your rock.
Dean
They look like Texas Trash Palys. The do grow at a very fast rate but don't bother other coral anymore than a zoa or other paly.
Jellyfish
Thanks so much guys I will move them away from the other rock, and just let them be.
sethsolomon
They look like Texas Trash Palys. The do grow at a very fast rate but don't bother other coral anymore than a zoa or other paly. They go by nuclear holocaust pallys here in Colorado. Never the less they are weeds and will take over very quickly.
Neon Reefer
They can overtake LPS corals and poison them ! Lost a nice open Brain coral to them

FarmerTy
Maybe just flip it over and bury the polyps in the sand? Sent via Tapatalk
Jellyfish
Lol, ostrich style.... I'm sure I can figure something out
+bigsby
I would take them out of tank let them dry out. Soak the rock in bleach and leave it in the sun for 3 days after a good rinse. I might even throw that rock in my sump after the just in case they do come back
Wade
Do zoas (not plays) have the ability to kill LPS? I have some that are getting close to a blasto which has encrusted to the rock.
