nuxx
Hey Guys, I need to catch my two cleaner shrimp before I run hypo on my tank. They stay behind the rocks most of the time. I do have an old mantis shrimp trap (never used). Do you think that could do the trick? Really don't want to tear into the rock work. Any tricks you can pass along? Thanks

Thought about not feeding meaty foods for a few days and trying that as well. Might try the trap tonight.

bige
I'd stop feeding the food they like for a few days then make a bottle trap and put that food in it. Usually catches them during the night. Took me three days to catch 3 peppermints and one cleaner.
FarmerTy
Food is a mighty motivator... or lack of it. I still work on just this principle alone... Sent via Tapatalk
Robb in Austin
Drop something into a net, scoop him out when he goes in after it. Or, if you're lucky enough to have a shrimp that likes cleaning your hand, put food in your hand and grab him.
nuxx
Net and Mantis Shrimp Trap didn't work... Made a bottle trap made out of a 2 liter coke bottle and got one cleaner about 30 minutes after lights out. He was checking it out all day. Had a piece of rubble with a piece of shrimp rubberbanded to it. Not sure where the other cleaner is... I haven't seen him in a few days. Maybe it's molting? Do they normally disappear during that?
