Ph increase

My ph has been in the 8.1 - 8.25 range. The daily swing is only about .05 or so. Yesterday I changed the programming on my vortechs and increased the intensity of my lights by 1 degree. Just got home and saw the ph had gone up to 8.3. Would these two changes cause it to increase? it's never been over 8.25. Everything in the tank looks extremely happy and fully extended.

You should be fine. A little more lighting could increase pH by having additional phosynthesis (reducing CO2, increasing pH). More water flow could also slightly increase it by driving more CO2 out of the water via gas exchange. Either way, that small of a change shouldnt be a problem.
