Mako
Hey every one I got a used Korallin calcium reactor. I need recommendations for a regulator and most like some help setting this up. The tank need to be inspected. (any recommendations) Maybe someone has a regulator that would work lying around. also came with PH controller. "no clue how to set this up either". any help would be awesome, have never had one before. Thanks
Robb in Austin
I'm no expert but when I started my fw planted tank, I found a good quality regulator on eBay. I think it was ~$60. Edit: It's an IM Cornelius regulator.
FarmerTy
A lot of people use the Milwaulkee brand dual gauge regulators as well. Round Rock Welding supply and Airgas are two places that will swap cylinders and/or inspect them for you. I didn't see you mentionion a ph probe, but if you don't have one, you'll need one. And if you got one used that wasn't properly stored (membrane stored in a 4 pH solution), then you'll need a new one anyways.
Mako
I believe it has one, like I said I'm new to this. Ty when I get all the parts I will have to coax you to come and see your old tank and help me set it up.....
victoly
that there is a pH probe. unless it was in continuous use until you bought it, you'll want a new one (maybe a second to have on hand as a backup). pH probe in a CaRx is nothing to scrimp on, its pretty easy to harm your tank if its not in good working order.
