This could be really useful for visual monitoring of a tank and the home environment.
Planeden
Maybe we should chip in and buy one for the club. We can install it in various apex user's houses and have several data points to find how a/c affects the tanks .
victoly
If I still had my nest I could have done that already
jestep
If I still had my nest I could have done that already Why did you get rid of it? We were looking at one until we found out we had about the only system that it can't work with.
victoly
Worked great in my old house, when I moved it worked for a while, but overtime the voltage thieving that it has to do to charge it's batteries was preventing the outdoor AC unit from functioning properly. Sold it I use a z-wave thermostat controllable via my security system (and iOS), but it doesnt have the scheduling and data tracking that the nest did. If they every made a new version, I'd take it back in a heartbeat.

JamesL
You could still have a Nest, but you would need to have a "C" wire installed if the voltage sipping is causing problems. I have had no problems at all without a C wire on my system and (1st gen) Nest.
victoly
I did have a c. Still didn't work right. Had a nest approved tech and my own tech come out.
