Christian
I'm looking for a 300+ gallon aquarium. Looking for stand to go with that aquarium also.
Woods
I know Hydro is selling his 440g tank setup... You may want to PM him and get the details. It is an incredible deal for anyone looking for that size of tank.

Woods
also Fish Gallery in Austin have a couple of used 350g tanks, but they are tank only. I have seen Hydro's (Stephen) tank and his awesome and for the price i dont think you can beat it. Good luck with the tank search! Look forward to seeing what you get and see it come together in a build thread.

Woods
Sounds like you may have to aim for a smaller sized tank. What size is your door opening? From that we can recommend tank sizes...
Christian
27" probably it's big enugh to fit a fridge side ways through it. Hydro has not gotten on lately.

Woods
If you can't get ahold of Hydro, Timfish is maintaining the tank and has regular contact with him so he may be able to help get you in contact with Stephen (Hydro).
Woods
But if your door is only 27", I suspect you may need to get a smaller sized tank like around 240g, 210g, 200g or 180g that is only 24" wide instead of 30" like most 300g+ tanks... nvrEnuf
at 27 inches you are more than likely looking at a door that is not opening all the way.. I bet it's actually 27 3/4". taking the door off the hinges should allow the 2 1/4 inches you need to fit the 30 inch width. Otherwise you're living in a pretty old house (cool!) and if you're serious about a tank that large a retro fit of a new door is a nominal expense (as in 6 months of water changes?). Plus your wife will be happy about the new front door! If this is indeed the case, I would check the pier and beam system to make sure your tank isn't going to settle off level and take risk of cracking a seam. Sorry to be a harbinger Better to investigate now than find out the hard way later!
Christian
I did get a hold of him! The house is a newer home. But I really do like the aquarium he has. I'm looking to make it in to a shark tank.
