bige
I HEARD TY AND BIGE VANISHED FROM THE EARTH. NEVER TO BE SEEN AGAIN. Rumor is that they were overgrown by macro. In his skimmer less lagoon tank.
victoly
So my hypnea had some chaeto mixed in to it, which i pulled out. I ended up with a pretty hefty chunk of hypnea/chaeto. I could be convinced to part with it if anyone has interest.

+Grog
So is this a 'rooting' macro, does it tumble like chaeto, or attach with hold fasts? Pretty color.
victoly
It has a root type structure I think.
bige
ORA says it "loosely anchors to substrate". And it's a slow grower.

bige
I thought the same thing. Maybe that's two.
victoly
It's just pulled out because of all the chaeto that was stuck in it. Plus I got there first so I picked the biggest ones
nvrEnuf
you boys didn't get it all I may have gotten the best deal : ping pong ball size for $5 because Hunter was suppossed to call me when it came in and he didn't. I was in about 5:30 and Hunter had to give me what I guess he was saving for himself, because it wasn't with the inverts and other macro's Gonna let it grow in the dirty QT for awhile. My Culerpa and Cheato are currently dying off in the sump of the display due to the ATS taking over...this stuff will probably end up in the lagoon/macro tank now that my main display is almost fully stocked. Sure is pretty under the actinics though!

nvrEnuf
no but I now have my blue hypnea in quarantine in my QT! I don't know if I have a safe tank for it and I am NOT setting up a tank just for one specie of Macro. Patrick...what say you take this stuff off my hands and I come get tang food at a later date?
