Apex programming

Recommended Posts

Ok so today I got an apex light. I've been playing with it and I think I'm starting to figure it out. I know I'll have plenty of questions and I figured I should make a thread rather than pm Ian every 2 minutes. First question is:

For the heater program, it has on temp and off temp. I'm not sure how much I should let my temp fluctuate? I've always just turned the knob to 79 and let it do it's thing. If I want my tank to stay at 79-80 should I just put on temp at 79, off temp at 80 and then on the heater turn its temp setting to max?

Forgive me if this question is stupidly obvious. I understand the temp program. That makes sense. So you just put that under one of your outlet names? Now does the apex know what temp means? As in you don't have to go in and program it to understand temperature, or is that basic level programming built in kind of "under the hood?"
