SaltCube
So I'm running a bean animal overflow and there is three pipes [Main/Secondary/Emergency]. The Secondary pipe has a PVC ball vavle to control the flow. From Tank to Sump this line is half PVC and the other half soft tubing. So I was wonder can I not bother with the PVC ball vavle and use a barbed ball vavle on the soft tubing in the stand. The reason I ask when this is up againt the wall my hands are too big to go behind and regulate if need be. Someone with a bean animal style overflow please chime in if you understand where I'm coming from. Thanks
victoly
The ball valve should function exactly the same whether it is on barbed fitting or hard plumbed PVC.
Gonzobob
Agreed with victoloy, any valve inline in the secondary flow (it makes no difference beyond the influence of back pressure) will work fine.
