JCAB
Any ideas on what this curly stringy things are? Only affecting the two mushrooms. Tried pulling it off but it's attached. Different types of mushrooms close by are not affected and neither is the same type if mushroom that is on the other side of the tank. Thanks for your help. JCAB
They're curled and on the picture appear as whiteish dots on the mushroom. When I tried to pull them off, they stretched out and looked like a string. Curled back up when I let them go. Was out of town for 5 days and came back to this, so not sure how quickly it developed. +o0zarkawater
Did you do a water change recently? Something pissed them off. I dont know what they are, but they come out when the mushrooms are pissed and will go away in a day or less.
JCAB
A small water change before I left, but nothing major. I'll hod off and see what happens tomorrow.

+o0zarkawater
They are part of the mushroom, I wouldn't call them "intestines" but thats what they remind me of. Mine do this if I do a drastic water change quality/temp, or stir up too much crap from the sandbed.
Sherita
I agree with the folks above. Shroom guts or something similar. I don't know what they are either, but mine will do the same thing if I make them mad. I'd give them a few days to settle. As long as the shroom is open and happy, leave the guts alone and it will pull them back in.
victoly
Dude, you tried to pull out your mushroom's guts...
JCAB
:-( I didn't have the guts to stand up to the barrage of questions as to if I had tried removing them etc, so I did as much as I could before posting my question
+KimP
It's no problem. My lobos did this every single time I did a water change. Never seemed to be a big deal over the couple of years I had them.
