JamesL
What do u think did the trick? I've had a pair for months that don't host anything. Maybe I'll tRy the pic route Not really sure. I tried the picture trick a month ago, and the clowns just hung out by the picture I took the picture down after a week. I haven't tried anything else... in fact, I was beginning to be worried that the clowns might not host it due to my porcelain crab already taking up residence. The only thing I noticed a few days ago is that the clowns seemed to be try to host the live rock. And this morning I found one of them in the anemone again, with the crab below... so all seems to be going good!
JamesL
It's symbiosis Sunday! I walked by the tank and one of the clowns was in the anemone, and the anemone shrimp wanted to join in too (it was in when I first walked by, but by the time I grabbed my phone, he had moved to the side). And I actually saw the phenomenon of the clown fish sucking on one of the anemone tentacles. Not really sure why they do that, maybe it helps with the anemone/fish bonding. JamesL
About time I did an update about this tank. It has been chugging along great so far. Just did a water change today, and decided to snap some pictures as the water and glass are nice and clear now. Both clowns play in the anemone, though there definitely is one that mainly does. The birdsnest is doing fantastic. All of my previous attempts with SPS in my large tank have failed. But I am getting tons of growth. Hope to add more coral next week at the frag swap. +Grog
Love the FTS, it shows how the BTA actually looks in perspective. Good job! Is that a purple gorg in the front?
JamesL
Love the FTS, it shows how the BTA actually looks in perspective. Good job! Is that a purple gorg in the front? Yes, an unhappy finger gorgonian ... it didn't bounce back from the water change like everything else as quickly.
+Grog
Love gorgs; and no, my handle is not a mispelling. It is a coincidence.

JamesL
Added three little sexy shrimp to the tank tonight. Will see if they gravitate to the anemone or not.
JamesL
Snagged a picture of one of the sexy shrimp hiding in the Kenya tree. Also, had a feather duster pop out of a Zoa rock recently. It is pretty cool as it has a hard tube.

JamesL
This birds nest "frag" I got from Richard at the meeting he hosted is starting to purple up in the tank. Kinda bad picture I snagged with my iPad, but didn't feel like getting out the real camera.
