+Capt. Obvious
I have a hockey puck sized superman monti that is throwing polyps... The flesh looks fine just the polyps themselves are disappearing/detaching. All other encrusting montis are fine (6 seperate colonies) What could be causing this? Juiceman
Hmm, I'd it rtn'ing? Could it be spawning?

Roy V
Do you have an angel fish in ur tank? I tried a flame angel several months ago and my encrusting montis would not polyp out during the day. After I saw him nipping I removed him, & everything is back to normal.
+Capt. Obvious
Nope, looks like my dKH was a little low, but not anything major... Still confused
Peter Gott
Are they just disappearing around the edges, or in the center, or scattered, or what?
victoly
seriously, thats weird as hell.
+Capt. Obvious
started in a spot in the middle...started spreading...radiating from that spot. has now taken about 1/4 of the polyps.
Peter Gott
Ok, so with it starting in the center and spreading like that, I'm guessing it is biological in nature, probably pathogenic.
Peter Gott
Can you dip it, or is it on a rock too big for that?
+Capt. Obvious
I can dip it and QT it
Peter Gott
I would dip it for sure; if it has already been established in the tank I don't see much point in QT. But then, I admittedly don't quarantine enough. This is why I currently have flatworms...
