+KimP
kim, what did you use this for?<br /> Just as a regular little reef nano. Mostly to hold corals from my seahorse tank shut down. It makes a very nice little tank, esp with the back chambers. I grew lots of cheato back there
Planeden
Is a little tank like this a good or bad place to start for a first timer? Good side, inexpensive. Bad side, hard to keep parameters in check, right? Which wins?
+Capt. Obvious
Pico/nano not a great place for first timers IMHO. Harder to maintain water quality

esacjack
Honestly, I started with a pico/nano. I feel that it's made me more attentive to my larger tanks. The biggest mistake any noob can make with a pico/nano, is overstocking them. Starting with simple zoo's, capnella, and a a few snails is a good way to learn husbandry. Take it slow, and dont rush. Invest in an ATO,if you aren't in a position to do so, then nano/pico's arent for you.
+Capt. Obvious
...Invest in an ATO... +1 Salinity swings in picos due to evaporation are VERY rapid
