Juiceman
So my 10g tank didn't work out so well. I didn't have much success with hang on equipment and was feeding too much since I'm so used to my 200 at home. I shut it down and hatched a new plan of doing a SLIGHTLY bigger tank and using the 10g as a sump. Bio drilled my new 20L for me without any issues! I got some simple clear acrylic sheets from Home Depot and cut them to the measurements I needed to for a sump similar to what I have at home. Got a little messy with the silicone but I can go back later and razor out the excess. My new light is ready from BuildMyLED, I have my rocks and substrate running in a bucket with pumps, and a heater and carbon killing off the crap that was growing on it. I have my hippo, clown, yellow gobie, porcelain crab, and cuc in my acclimation chamber in my 200 a home until their new home is ready. Almost time!! Juiceman
Reserved for whatever since that's what everyone's doing now. lol Spent a few hours at Mike Woods' place today getting the acrylic for the intake of my sump drilled and setting up his Apex! Picked up my 30" 14k Spectrum Fixture from BuildMyLED! The sump was a tight fit! had to go through the top of the stand. I knocked out the plumbing and waited for the PVC glue to cure. Leak test time!!!!! I like the look of the clear overflow... It's different. LEAK TEST....... PASSED!!!! I have my TLF modded for Bio Pellets, and I'm going to plumb it into my mag 3 return, surprisingly enough, the Mag 3 is almost overflowing the tank!! So once I split the little bit into the reactor it should be perfect. Saltwater tomorrow!!!!!!!!!

LOL The bad thing about this tank is the same thing, I'll have to take it down and set it up again 2 times a year. We'll see how long that lasts! (Bio)³
if any I'd throw it down in the sump is possible, I like that single arch you got going.
bige
I like the arch too. I would put it sump. Everything bio said.

Juiceman
Scratch that, after I made sure the siphon break in the return was at the right spot, I can fill up the tank enough to not overflow if the power goes out, so back the sump the skimmer goes! Juiceman
Well it's officially a reef. Corals seem to be doing well other than some Xenia I put in. It's really shriveled up and losing color. I almost think the tank could possibly be too clean right now. Took me a while to get the skimmer dialed in, but i'm finally getting some foam! my eggcrate came unsiliconed in the sump so my foam fitler isn't totally filtering the water anymore, but I think that'll be fine. Juiceman
Been a while. I was having trouble with my corals bleaching, so I picked up a dimmer for my BML light. I dialed it down to 50% and everything's been happy ever since. My clown died of some type of bacterial infection, and the hippo shortly after that. I decided to go with fish that I didn't neccessarily have to feed, and would serve more of a purpose. So currently, I have a small Yellow Coris Wrasse, and a Lawnmower Blenny. Both have been doing well and cleaning the heck out of the tank. The "Clear" overflow definitly is brown now. Wouldn't do that again! +brian.srock
You could take a toothbrush to the overflow and clean it up.
