Jimbo662
When feed a sun coral does each polyp need to be fed or does the colony share food?
FarmerTy
I noticed greater success when feeding all polyps as far as growth is concerned but I think as long as they are sharing "flesh" that nutrients should be distributed to some extent. Sascha D.
I had a colony of sun polyp corals for about 5 years. It's a night filter feeder. You have to spot feed it with a turkey baster when it's open. Put a good amount of current on it but not facing it directly or it won't open. As far as I've experienced, the colony does share food. I've had polyps that almost never get any of the mixture and never seemed to fade or get smaller. I rotated mine every 2 weeks to make sure it grew in a nice round shape. Niko's Reef
I just ordered some coral from Reefs 2 Go for the 1st time. Ordered from them b4, but not coral. Hoping the orange sun coral is healthy. Edited December 29, 2012 by Niko
