10gReef
well I was making RODI water, forgot and left to get some goodies from RCA doomsday sale. came home to find my kitchen floating. I used my shopvac to get the water off the floor. about 10pm an apartment maintenance guy was pounding on my door saying we had a leak. I explained my water filter failed and I cleaned up the mess. I guess I will be paying for a paint job for the downstairs unit. My question is does anyone have a suggestion on how to do an auto shut off or a pressure tank? Im on the second floor and do 15g water changes at a time. I currently keep 3 water jugs full but need a fail safe way to protect my neighbors from stupid. +SChrisEV
Ouch that sux! I know that BRS has an auto shutoff solutions for your RO. We have a group by going now, send BIO a PM if you want. I think they are pretty cheap... definitively cheaper than the alternative!

Jimbo662
I've done this several times with my auto top off jug but not to that extent. i finally bought a Reverse Osmosis Float Valve from BRS and it works great.
esacjack
i have float valves installed in my RO system. Before installing them, I accidentally flooded my garage. :/

Juiceman
Brs auto shutoff valve! Some come with a float valve too. I have an extra float valve from them.
Buckeye Field Supply
The combination of a float valve, (hydraulic) auto shut off valve, and a check valve will keep your reservoir from overflowing. The hydraulic ASOV looks like one of these: If you go this approach however make sure you manage so that you address the TDS creep issue.
