+Mlaw
There really should be a forum for posting pics of things that came with live rock and you need identified! I'm pretty new to all of this and really appreciate your help. Any ideas what this critter is? Picture is horrible.

+Mlaw
I had just moved it so that might explain the pissed off. Thanks a ton!
Peter Gott
This is an excellent idea! LR Hitchiker Surprises are one of my favourite parts of this hobby. Now if only I had a camera awesome enough to take pictures of the tiny things that need IDing...
Robb in Austin
I like the idea of an ID thread. I'll discuss it with the staff.
+Mlaw
I just spotted what looks like a feather growing out of my live rock. Can't get a good picture. It isnt' a feather duster, at least not like the normal ones. It almost looks like a plant. Any thoughts?

George Monnat Jr
I just spotted what looks like a feather growing out of my live rock. Can't get a good picture. It isnt' a feather duster, at least not like the normal ones. It almost looks like a plant. Any thoughts? Maybe a White Foraminiferan? Here's a picture of a row of them (along with Valonia/Bubble Algae and a little Cyanobacteria). It's a harmless filter feeder. Here's a pic of a bigger one (along with yet more Valonia and some Lobophora).
+Mlaw
Managed to get a semi decent picture. It's the thin feathery thing in front of the paly
