+Capt. Obvious
I have a Maxxima RoDI unit that I purchased and installed an ASO on, however, when my reservoir float switch is closed waste water continues to run, what am I doing wrong here? I am wasting tons of water and have to remember to manually shut off the water each time (1st world problems) Any ideas? I have checked the valve itself and it seems to be fine.but even upon inspection and reassembly it is still not shutting off supply water to the membrane. victoly
has it ever worked or did it recently fail?
+Capt. Obvious
never worked
+Capt. Obvious
here is a very rough diagram

+Capt. Obvious
Yes, watched that already, and with and without the valve installed the ASO still never shuts down the feed
victoly
hows your inlet pressure?
+Capt. Obvious
according to the gauge on the membrane housing...pretty low...looks like ...1psi?
+Capt. Obvious
Correction 12psi (approx 1 bar)
victoly
that doesn't seem right....your incoming pressure should be like 40-50psi. Do you have a gauge that you can check your house pressure at a hose outlet? I'm a little surprised that you're even getting water through the RO membrane at all at 12 psi. Juiceman
Yeah, that's super lower to begin with. That's probably why it's not shutting off. The pressures not building at the chevkvalve
(Bio)³
Had this same thing happen about 2-3 months ago. Internal diaphragm was stretched, everything looked fine to my eye. I have 47PSI, once I replaced the ASOV everything worked fine. I also replaced the check valve at the same time.
+Capt. Obvious
well I am mildy concerned about the pressure...could it be my filters need replacing?
