kmacc05 Posted October 10, 2012 Share Posted October 10, 2012 I just received my CPR hang on back refugium/protein skimmer and installed it last night. I keep messing with it to try and get just a foamy skimmate from it, but all i can seem to get out of it is a lot of water. Any way or idea on how to help this issue? I've raised the collection cup. But when I do that, the foam never seems to reach the top. When lowered, it just lets water spill over the top. There doesn't seem to be a happy medium. Thanks in advance for any help or ideas! victoly Posted October 10, 2012 Share Posted October 10, 2012 A general rule is to set it a little on the low side. Some skimmers take a while (few days) to break in before the start producing skimmate. Make sure you follow the manual, they all work a little differently.
