subsea Posted October 9, 2012 Share Posted October 9, 2012 This tunicate has multiple colors that may not be only coraline. Some of the colors on this shell are not coraline but are sponges. You must have knowledge on care for NPS before I give this away to you. Bio3 made a post on a DIY sphere that envelopes filter feeders with a concentrated cloud of food. I would consider that advanced NPS husbandry and would qualify you for this specimen. My goal in this is to establish a network of NPS hobliest that can maintain NPS. I do not wish to destroy these hard to care for items. In many cases, these items are not beautiful to a fish only person but to me I am intrigued by this biodiversity. To its immediate left is a decaying sponge. During these first two weeks, I am providing robust circulation exceeding 2000 GPH. Tomorrow, I get more boots on the ground, with Blu Leg Hermits providing expert manicure techniques to help with this burdensome task. Lagoon tank at 135G with extreme DSB. This tank is sumpless with no surface skimmer which contributes to problems with gas exchange and even light transmission. This issue requires extreme circulation to remedy without a surface skimmer. This one issue has nuked more marine tanks than any other sources combined. During night time with no photo period, oxygen is consumed and CO2 is given off.
