(Bio)³
I recently got a baby welso from another member. Everything I read says they like low flow and low light. The first day I had it I did not know this yet and stuck it on the sand bed in open light, good flow. It swelled up beautifully and loves the tank. After reading I moved it back to a shaded area with less flow... the welso hated the area and so I moved it back where it swelled up again. Just curious where others keep welsos? DerrickH
They like low flow and medium light. Most with powerfull halides will place them in a shaded area where they get reflection light thats less intense. At night, you should see some serious tentacles. The colored section will almost dissapear and nothing left but a wad of tenticles.
(Bio)³
Thanks for the replies everyone. I've got it front and center with good flow and good light. It's nice and fluffy... I'll leave it there until something changes.
jestep
This is why I try to match flow and lighting as best as possible when I add any coral to the tank. I have a frogspawn that wants to be 3" in front of a vortech at full blast and another that wants zero flow...
+etannert
As long as the coral's happy... life is good!!
