+Grog
So, I got a sheet of eggcrate to use on top of my tank, and hopefully prevent my remaining livestock from taking suicidal leaps. What is the preferred method and or tool for cutting eggcrate? Grog

+KimP
I use wire cutters, but for a big section it makes my hand sore by the end. The other suggestions are good too.
Bannerfish
I just use scissors, if we're talking about that white plastic egg crate.

bige
How much egg crate do you use?
Entropy
Needlenose plyers make a pretty much perfect cut unless you need it completely smooth. I don't cover the top of my tank though, just the overflow. Between my light fixture and the wood skirt that goes around the top, if my fishies want out that bad, so be it. +Grog
I used a pair of diagonal cutters and will paint the eggcrate black tomorrow. I'm ignoring the 'flash' from the cuts as that is all in the back near the HOB filters. Not like I'm going to see it or care. It cut much easier than I expected. Thanks for the input.
