+Hydro
Thanks long. BTW I got a message that you called a while back but my employee must have wrote the number down wrong because I couldn't get through. Here is the sump for the 300 gallon system finally finished. I cut out slits in the bottom of the pvc pipes to spread the water out and also to prevent lots of splashing. The entire sump has an acrliyc cover to keep evaporation down and to prevent salt creep. +Hydro
Got the glass dropped off at the polishers yesterday, he told me it would be done by the end of the week. I thought he would only be able to get out some of the light scratches and not the deep ones but that's not the case. He says he can take out all scratches, its hard to believe. Here is a picture of the glass, I don't know how someone could cause this much damage without trying lol
+Hydro
The back panel (not being polished) is going to be drilled today for (5) 1" bulkheads for drains and (4) 1/2" bulkheads for supply. I will also be able to paint it black before I install it, this will help so that I don't have to move this tank away from the wall to do it.....it will weigh a lot with 3/4" glass. BTW I'm building this tank where it going to set, no reason to move it if its not necessary.
+Hydro
This is my skimmer tank. I couldn't put the skimmers in the sump because they wouldn't fit. I modified a 55 gallon tank to hold the skimmers and to still be able to hold fish. Its ties in to the rest of the system to skim all water. The water fills both side chambers where the skimmers are and then over flows in to the center section where it can drain back to the sump. I made it this way so I can run the water level higher in the 55 gallon tank then I could have if the skimmers were just sitting on the bottom. Also this allows the skimmers to run without fish being able to get in to the pumps.
