Although, it came in pretty white and the rest of mine was all dark, so it does seem like the older rock grows "hair" faster and the Pukani gets that slime/fuzz first, but that may just be more visible because of the coloring. You have the ability to remove the phosphate during the cycling/curing process so what does it matter in the end if you have the control.
