anyone in town have an established tank using pukani?

Yes, but only about 1/4-1/3 of the rock in my tank is the BRS dry Pukani. The rest was live rock from my old tank.

Does it grow more algae than the live, or are they about the same

My tank is a mixture of pukani, reef saver, and Fiji. Algae growth seems about the same on all of them honestly. Only difference is the shapes

No noticeable difference here either. Although, it came in pretty white and the rest of mine was all dark, so it does seem like the older rock grows "hair" faster and the Pukani gets that slime/fuzz first, but that may just be more visible because of the coloring.

Half my tank was dry pukani. No difference in algae that I noticed.

Is the pukani on the left of your tank top or just the right?
The whole right side.

I see more algae on the right side sir.....

Give me a little credit for observation. [emoji14]

Rock is rock in the end. It'll grow more algae if its loaded with phosphate. You have the ability to remove the phosphate during the cycling/curing process so what does it matter in the end if you have the control.

That's because there's more rock. The other side is entirely covered with coral for the most part.

I know, just giving you a hard time!
I'm taking the name "fish whisperer" away from you! It's been revoked! [emoji14]

Are you going to epoxy or drill? If you epoxy then you won't be able to take the structures apart easily.

I think I'm going to do a bit of both. Going to make sure I have the supplies to do it either way

I didn't see my tank anywhere Juiceman? [emoji14]

Yeah, not really sure how this is going to end up until I get in there and do it!

But i'll have free reign and no direct schedule to get it done this time!
