What do YOU think about powder brown tangs?

I upgraded a few months back to a 75gal so i could have larger fish in my tank. I wanted a powder blue but it seems alittle to fragile for what I wanted. But I really like the powder brown as well. So, what are some of the more experienced saltwater peps opions on this fish... also what would look for if you were buying this guy from a store. Thanks for your help.

i had a blue for about 16 months but had to give him away do to my move up here but it just seem to me that i've seen more blues then browns successful in captivity........... nothing scientific just observations over the years

but im sure you will be in the hobby long enough to try both of them

isnt it also known as a mimic? if so, the one at work has been happy and one of my favorite fish.

My brown was a mean mofo and tormented my yellow tang that was 2x as big and was in the tank before the brown. Im not saying they are all mean but I had to remove him he was relentless.

The only fish that I have had issues with keeping is the Powder blue and I have heard that the Powder Brown isn't much easier.

One way or the other every Acanthuras sp is problamatic. They are pretty fish but I think should be left for someone who has a lot of experience (years) and a good quarintine tank going.
