SoggyDollar
Lately I've been seeing little white worms on the glass of my two month old tank. There are hundreds of them about 1-2mm long. They move relatively fast. At first, I thought it was some kind of algae growing on the glass but noticed they move. At closer inspection, they are like little centipedes with a forked tail. I don't think I can get a picture of them, they are tiny. Are these good, bad, common and just part of start up of a new tank? Thanks! kmmthree
I have seen them in my tank as well, not sure what type they are. I also picked up a melanurus wrasse which seems to control worm populations pretty good.
SoggyDollar
I have a Mystery Wrasse that is constantly looking for food. However, he doesn't seem to be interested in these worms. He might not have discovered them yet though... I dunno.

Aaarrrggg
Flatworms maybe? I had some that were reddish. I panicked and bought some flatworm exit, but they seemed to disappear on their own before I had a chance to use it.
jestep
Just common flatworms from what I can tell. They'll go down in numbers on their own in time, or if you have a wrasse they should take care of them quicker. Either way, they shouldn't be harmful to anything in the tank. SoggyDollar
Should I lower the feeding?
jestep
How often do you feed? A good algae magnet does a pretty good job as well...
Robb in Austin
I don't think altering your feeding will do anything. And I agree, regular flatworms.
SoggyDollar
Yes, they are flatworms. They have the same worms on a DT at RCA. Do Mandarin Gobies eat them?
