don duncan
I have been sticking my hands in and out of my tank withouth gloves for years. This weekend I had to move a tank, took 16 hrs to get it done. Well I got a small cut on my thumb that turned into a serious systemic infection that runs up my arm. It all happened in less than 24 hrs. I am on some serious antibiotics. If they dont work I will need to go to the hosipital to get on an IV. So please learn from my lesson. WEAR GLOVES.

Robb in Austin
Get well soon Don! As the resident Murse, any open laceration can be a portal. If you are in up to your elbows, you should have elbow length gloves.
