Mike M.
I have the old, larger, way more expensive unit. I'd bet the guts are the same though. Same reagent. Buy the $60 checker. Save the cash. THis is one of the few times you'll hear me give that kind of advice!
Mike M.
NO PH CHECKER. USELESS DATA IN MY OPINION. Another place to save money. Mike

bluefish84
Does Hana have a mini Kh checker? Not aware it's available, how much? I do wish Hana would change the packaging of the reagent (ascorbic acid), hard to get all the powder out and dissolve in time before the meter shuts off. I notice the timing does affect the result on PO4 mini checker.

PeeperKeeper
I came across this thread on a search for info on Hanna testers. I appreciate the information here. I want to get the one for alkalinity first. That is the same as DKH, right? Does the Hanna Alk tester show different units from DKH tests? Is this the one I want to get? http://www.amazon.com/HCOMBO-CHECKER-ALKALINITY-COLORIMETER-PHOTOMETER/dp/B008ZDGPCQ/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1358395132&sr=8-4&keywords=hanna+alkalinity+checker It says the range is 200 - 300ppm and I'm used to DKH in the 9-12 range. victoly
Yes. Dkh is one of 3 scales for alk. The Hanna alk tester is great.
PeeperKeeper
What is the range I want to be in for SPS in all the different units, particularly ppm?
+etannert
The Hanna tester only displays in one unit, but the tester comes with instructions on how to convert from ppm to DKH (multiply by .056, if I recall correctly...).
