JamesL
Purchased some pink zoa's today from the Dome. Unfortunately when I was taking pictures they still looked like this: Though by the end of the night, part of them started to open. Will try to grab some pictures tomorrow. In the mean time, took some various pictures of the rest of the corals. Blasto: Sun Coral: Some of my blues: Some of my reds: Peek-a-boo with the jawfish: The anemone moved to the front: Closeup of my big toadstool: Some different reds: Some more blues, never notices the flecks of green in the tentacles. More in next post.
JamesL
Continued new pictures.... Shot of the greens. They are spreading fast, but they are hard to get a picture of. Lighter blues: Lots-o-blues: The candy canes: More candy canes: Orange brain: Cynaria (getting more green in it): Another shot of the blasto: Frogspawn: Tongue:
JamesL
And the final shots. Part of the zoa collection: Left side: Right side: Full:
JamesL
While not the best picture, I grabbed one this morning before my lights came on. My new pink zoas were starting to open:
+dapettit
Very nice blasto I must say (we have the same one too)! Looking good.

+mcallahan
Hmm...I'd like a 2-3 frag if you are in the selling mode...
JamesL
Let me grow them out for a while. There was some die off on the frag when I got them yesterday that I partially cleaned off, and my fish did the rest. So I want to let the colony recover a bit. JamesL
That Blasto is seexxxxxxxyyyyyy. Thanks It is one of my favorites right now. It is a pig, and eats a lot, so hopefully I can get it to grow some new heads soon.
JamesL
Last week I created three frags of this (but left part of the mother colony). Last night all the polyps on the frags were gone Not sure if they came unglued, melted, or hermits carried them off. I would be surprised if they came unglued, because I glued down some loose green zoas I got in trade for an urchin, and they are going strong. The mother colony is doing OK so far. JamesL
Shh... don't tell Mark, but I got a shipment of new stuff today. Mr. Coral was having a big sale last week, and I was able to order 12 WYSWYG frags of zoa's and LPS with free shipping. One of these days I will buy something from the Vivid group orders So on to the pictures! Boy, o, boy did I take a lot of pictures. I think I will have to pace them over a few posts/days. And I also have a video I need to edit and get posted of the tank! To get things started, here are the new items from Mr. Coral. I have to say I am very pleased with everything. Most of the zoas were opening in the bags when acclimating, and most are 90% or more open now. Click on any picture for a larger version. Packed very well: Some of the zoas I purchased (still opening): These were freebies (sorry, I hid them behind a gorgonian): One of the favias I got: I think these are a type of african blue zoa (another freebie). I know a lot of people have problems with them melting, thought I would give them a try since they were free. I had planned on mounting these in a different spot but I mixed up the frags. Some red people eaters: More freebies: More zoas I purchased (the picture does not do them justice, the yellow really pops): 3 acans and another favia I got (I already had the orange brain to the left): And to wrap up for now, a different angle on the FTS:

cheetum
Great job on your video gave you 4 stars would have given 5 but then there would be no incentive 4 U to add music !!!
JamesL
Here is my first attempt at video recording the tank. Kinda choppy, crazy zooming, and cheesy transitions ... all for your enjoyment
JamesL
Some more pictures from yesterday. Acan: Another acan: 3rd acan (this was in some higher flow when I took the pic, moved it last night to see if will be happier in a lower flow area): Favia (I really like this): Not new, but I still love my orange brain .. it is growing nicely: And a full on FTS: Still have some more pictures (more close-ups of the zoa collection), but will save those for another post. JamesL
Woke up this morning to find my last naked clown dead Not sure why ... but he/she (probably she) has seemed "lonely" the past week ... swimming along the side of the tank with it's reflection. I had planned on getting another non-naked clown for companionship in the near future. Will probably get a pair (or more) or some other clowns here soon, that will hopefully host in my GBTA. JamesL
I wish I did ... that was my favorite coral. But at one point I had gotten a bicolor blenny and the little #$@! kept nipping at it. I got rid of the fish, but the plate never made a full recovery and eventually died. I have been looking for another one, but they have been expensive at the LFS. JamesL
Thanks to both of you That toadstool is probably may oldest coral, over 3 years old. I had gotten it when it was just the size of a quarter.
