zilkerfish
I have dabbled in small freshwater tanks before but finally upgraded to a 55g saltwater tank. Currently building a sump and overflow (protein skimmer and return pump arrived this week!). I was origianlly going to run a FO tank (just learned all the acronyms, I feel like a pro) but decided to go with a FOWLR. I just found this site and am stoked there are so many in Austin on here! If you have any tips or see that something I post or do sounds like a bad idea, feel free to let me know or just throw a shoe at me, I live right by zilker. +brian.srock
Welcome to the dark side. Check the For sale section for LR and other things. Make sure you use RO/DI water and not tap. Make sure your spouse is behind you or it'll end in divorce (or so i'm told) Research, Research, Research... check out other people's build threads, google the hell out of any question and post questions for us to help you with.
