Will
Any reason why this would hurt, as i just pulled my current skimmer off of my tank to let it sit in some vinegar for reefnewb, and my new one does not come in until Wednesday

Will
    the main issue i would have is that i have been dosing vodka (didn't today)
innate1
Everything I've read about vodka dosing starts with have a good skimmer.
mFrame
Everything I've read about vodka dosing starts with have a good skimmer. Otherwise you end up with drunk fish, and SWI (swimming while intoxicated) charges can be expensive if all of your fish are convicted. Toxiq Reef
Still don't understand why people dose vodka, if for briopsis, that's a bandaid
Will
nope, it exports nitrate and phosphate out of your tank in the form of bacterial mass. And i didnt dose while i was out of town, so it has been about 4 days since the tank got a vodka dose. i dont think it will be a big deal . cardsfan12
I cleaned my skimmer prior to going out of town for three weeks and forgot to plug it in when done. I was surprised to see that nothing really seemed upset when I returned. Lucky me!

I have a 140 gallon, how would you guys recommend me dosing my tank? This is the first I'd heard of it and am wondering the benefits.
