mooric
So today I added a Phosban reactor from two little fishes. My question is....How often should I replace the media inside of it? TIA Charles
offroadodge
youll see stuff start builing up in it, when its up to the top change it. Probly once a month depending on how dirty it gets
+dapettit
6-8 weeks. However if your phosphates are high it could be used up in a couple of days. Test every other day for a week to see how much the phosphate the media absorbs. What are you using for media?
Rjohn
I am using GFO and I change it once a month. My phosphates are near zero. I have never seen any buildup in mine.
mooric
My phosphates were reading ~0 before I added the reactor, but I assume this was because the Bryopsis was consuming it to grow. The media I am using in the reactor is PhosBan by Two Little Fishes.
