JamesL
Also, under livestock, maybe a "Species" (not to wild about the name, but couldn't think of a better one) category so we can put articles on individual fish/invert care.
Gonzobob
perhaps also a general feeding under livestock. Presumably individual species sheets or guides could contain more specific information.

I made the Fish category to where you can submit directly to it. Disease can be a separate sub-category. Not sure if we will keep a compatibility section. Thanks for all the feedback! Exactly what we need to get this rolling. PS the FAQ will be opened up to all members just as soon as the pages are properly styled and there are a handful of articles in it. +ACampbell
Kind of backwards, but how about starting propagation articles in the coral categories?

+dapettit
Kind of backwards, but how about starting propagation articles in the coral categories? That should work. Would a Breeding sub cat ing the fish cat be something of interes?
wayneb
Don't know if this is the right area to add to subject matter but here goes. Hazards of Reef Keeping - for example - toxins (in response to what happened to Mama), both coral and fish. Electrical dangers (electrocution and equipment {i.e. the heater incident}), Lack of GFI usage, simple formula for figuring out total wattage (amperage) in use versus what is available via outlets/ circuit breaker. Use of drip loops when plugging in equipment to outlets, Even location of outlets, extension cords, power supplies, batteries, etc. in relation to tank and water sources. wayneb
+dapettit
Did someone suggest a "New to Saltwater" section. Not sure what to put there but go slow and be patient! Mainly DO's and DON'Ts, or are these topics covered in another cat?
Zarathustra2
I love the idea of a newbie section. Can put most of the original "FAQ" type questions we were coming up with in there to help out new reefers
+ACampbell
How about I make the root directory "Saltwater Aquarium Basics"? This is were we can submit basic "how to do a water change", "hazards", "new to reefkeeping" BUT specific topics should go in their dedicated subcategories? This is were we can submit basic "how to do a water change", "hazards", "new to reefkeeping" BUT specific topics should go in their dedicated subcategories? Or Saltwater 101? Also, any way to get the transcripts from the "Ask the Experts" chats be posted here (Ask the Experts sub cat)?
+ACampbell
Not sure on the transcripts. I don't think they belong in the FAQ. Probably need to start a new thread on that topic. Is Saltwater 101 the agreed upon name of the root directory?
+dapettit
Can the coral sub cat be moved out from under the invert cat and be made its own sub cat under livestock? can you also add disease/pest and propagation to the coral cat?
Brooks
I didn't see this topic! May I suggest the "Propagation" category? I started a thread on it a while back, found here
+dapettit
Does anybody know what the character limit is? I just spend 45 minutes typing in my information and I get the "over the limit" error.

+ACampbell
Added Saltwater 101 to root directory Moved Coral category out from invert and into livestock. Please add specific propagation articles to proper sub cat categories. Added Disease and Pest category to Coral category.
