  1. Rio pump is sold. Make an offer on the rest.
  2. I would drain the sump and drill more holes. You could pump the water to a bucket and save it. drill the holes clean the sump replace the water and only loose a gallon or two. JMO
  3. It sounds like the guy next door has a problem. That sux.
  4. I may not have been real clear, I did not mean add water at 1.026, just small amounts of salt. possibly a table spoon per gallon until sg is raised.
  5. The pellets should take care of your problem. 5 hermits should not be any problem in a 65g, I keep 15-20 in my 45g with 25-30 different snails. I will be at least doubling this for the 120g that I am building.
  6. Nothing like a good single malt and a Carlos Torano.
  7. I have a rio 32HF that pumps 1920gph. It had only been used to test my new tank with fresh water. I would sell for $40.
  8. That is a big jump you need to make I would do it over at least a couple days. I have increased mine by adding a little salt to my ro water for top offs.
  9. I need a mag 12 if the others don't take it.
  10. I also have 1 96w(34") PC bulb. 50/50 10k & actinic $15. Less than a month old
  11. I have never had any major floods with my tank but did have a washing machine run water into the house for about an hour one time. At least it was clear water.

  14. I have a few things that I need to sell to raise a some money to finish my 120g that I am building. Rio 32 hf, 1920gph, only used to test my new tank, less than an hour, too much flow for the overflow. $50 2x 175 watt mh ballasts $30 ea or $50 for both 2x 175w mh bulbs 12k $10 ea PC fixture 36" 2x96w with moon lights 8 months old $80 Corallife PC remote ballast for 2x 96w $60
  15. Try feeding 2-3 times a day. More than likely you hermits are eating the snails because of a lack of food. On a reef fish eat all day long not like in our tanks once or twice a day, at a set time. You might start adding some pellets in the morning.
  16. If you buy or trade for a bird's nest I will give you xenia or halimeda
  17. I like to have sand under my rock to protect the glass bottom.
  18. More than likely it is from being out of water. It should recover with out any problem. Coraline will also do this if it is out of light for an extended period of time.
  19. Silicone will not stick to acrylic but will hold it in place if you silicone on both sides. Home depot and Lowe's sell aquarium grade silicone, it is in a small tube around the glues I think. definitely let it cure for 24hrs. As long as it holds the baffles in place what difference does it make if they leek? Isn't there going to be water on both sides? I use glass baffles.
  20. What Z said. I run mine BB for cleaning purposes, that way I don't have to worry about disturbing DSB.
