  1. I'm having the same issues as Mark, and it's a piece from Chad and Belinda so I know how good it can look. I put it directly under to 250watt and it didn't like it. Moved it to the shade and it didn't like it. Maybe it's a water quality issue, though all other corals are happy. Guess I'll just keep moving the lil' bugger around the tank every month and see how he likes it. -Ty
  2. Mark, Put me down for 2 buckets of the Red Sea Pro Salt. Thanks. -Ty
  3. I have a Maxi-Jet 1200 I use for mixing saltwater for the last 5 months. The Mag 5 will just help me mix it quicker. The swap is yours if you want it. I will be back this weekend. LMK. Thanks. -Ty
  4. No problem at all, I'll just get them when Mark heads up there later this month. Thanks for the offer Mitch. Much appreciated. So what's the easiest way to do this order? Are we ordering directly from you (Frags and More) and having you hold them for Mark until pickup? -Ty
  5. My vote is for this weekend. That is if Frags and More has the bulbs in stock. -Ty
  6. Yeah, they are down the street from me. I can meet you there if it makes it easier for you. LMK PM'ed information.
  7. I'm going to order a 12k Reeflux (250watt SE), a 10k Reeflux (250watt SE), and a 12k Reeflux (150 watt DE). Let me know what's the easiest way for us to accomplish this. Whether we all just order directly through Frags and More and have him set it aside for pickup or if Mark is going to head up a Group Order. I would prefer earlier than later but I'm not the one picking up so I'll leave it up to the much appreciated volunteers that will be picking up. Thanks, Ty
  8. I have a Mag 9.5 from a tank system I just bought a month ago I'm not using right now. I haven't even checked to make sure it works but I can do that after work today if you'd like to borrow it. LMK. I live in North Central Austin. -Ty
  9. I may jump on this... waiting to hear back on price.
  10. PM'ed with order. Thanks Mark. -Ty
  11. I may be in on this, let me check it out.
  12. I have one and I like it, but like GonzoBob says, the opening is very narrow and would only really work with smaller particle food. Mysis and my own personal blend of coral food tend to get clogged in it. I was going to drill it out myself and see how it worked as well. My only other gripe is the insides of the tube are very prone to food sticking to it so half of my food I defrosted ends up stuck on the inside of the tube. I'm sure it's an exaggeration but still. Overall though, I would still buy it and I'll let everyone know how widening out the opening helps with larger food particles. -Ty
  13. Were these the cool one's that I saw at Prof's?
  14. I think VWMike was getting rid of a JBJ Ocean Pulse Duo a couple weeks back. Might want to check with him if he sold it or not already.
  15. Yeah, I have some natural macro growing in the overflow box from some light that spills over into it from the main lighting. Was thinking of getting back there and scraping it out until I noticed the millions of pods back there. Gonna leave it alone for now, maybe introduce some chaeto there as well to assist the chaeto in my sump already, snap on a grow out light to shine into the overflow on a reverse lighting schedule and presto... instant fuge.
  16. I have 5 bulbs, 3 reflectors, and 1 ballast. I seem to have the opposite problem as you. Go 20k reeflux bulb and forget the actinic... just more heat!
  17. Wait, just to make sure... so I don't kill myself and my corals in the process of testing, black tip into a grounded outlet (the circular ground plug, not any of the 2 flat live ones) and the red probe into the water? Obviously make sure one piece of equipment is running at a time to isolate the voltage leaking equipment. -Ty
  18. Sweet, thanks! I just got a 125 gallon setup and have two metal halide pendants with bulbs, but alas, no electronic ballasts to power them. LMK whenever you decide, it'll be a quick and painless transaction. I don't know how it always comes out so difficult to buy/sell/trade things.... in my world... here's your money... thanks for the stuff, let me stare at your tank for a bit since I made the drive. haha. -Ty
  19. If they are electronic ballasts that are 250W, I'll buy the pair you don't want to keep. LMK. Thanks! -Ty
  20. I'm all about my 12k Reeflux bulbs. I 2nd the Sanjay link.
  21. Hey Belinda, I'll take the $20 frag of meteor shower... but i'm officially putting myself on a budget after this one. Thanks. -Ty
  22. I got those gloves PBNJ and it's great being able to stick your hand in your tank without having to completely scrub down your entire arm afterwards. I didn't even think of the benefits to the corals though.... hmmmm....
  23. I would John to repay the favor of the two halide reflectors but I am currently babysitting my nephew of 3 months old. Don't think my sister would appreciate me taking the little guy out to Cedar Park to move a tank. I'm sure someone will come and save the day. Good luck! -Ty
  24. Thanks a lot Pham for the Nano wavebox, made a nice 1" wave when I finally realized that I installed it upside down at first. It was nice meeting you. -Ty
