I don't really know about the zeovit system since I have no experience with it. I was just curious what you've been running and how. Seems like there has been a lot of changes in the last couple of months. Perhaps just letting things stabilize a bit and implement one new thing at a time to isolate the results? For instance, it took me 6-8 months to really isolate and tweak my biopellets, ending with me removing a lot of biopellets as the manufacturers highly overstate how much you need. It would have been hard for me to tell that if I was dosing at the same time.

Hard to say. I'm sure your water got clearer but as I understand it, its basically food for sponges/tunicates/filter feeders. I wouldn't imagine a dose 4 days ago would instantly increase your population of filter feeders to the point that your water got so clear that your echinata got toasted. Though I have no experience with this product. I just find it hard to imagine the filter feeding population exploded after just four days. Any other recent charges in your system? Any other additives you've been experimenting with? How are you running your biopellets? Reactor? How long have they been in service? Running GFO? Where is your echinata placed? Was it doing well before the dose of sponge power?

George, if I understand it right, the group buy allows us all to get special pricing. The limits for free shipping still apply though as we will need to reach $175 to get free shipping. We are basically on our own to order now but if we group into small subgroups that add up enough for the $175, then we can get free shipping. For instance, Meteorflower, George, and I combine our order and it adds up to more than $175, we will get free shipping. We would just elect to ship to Meteorflowers place (central to George and I) and George and I would pay Meteorflower directly and Meteorflower would order and ship to his/her place. George and I would then arrange to pickup from Meteorflower. So, since I spent all that time putting together the hypothetical situation, George, Meteorshower, want to combine and see if we hit $175 since we're all up north? Korallin Calcium Reactor Setup - $100 $75 pending Got it from someone who was getting out of the hobby Comes with Korallin Calcium reactor with bubble counter, regulator, needle valve, custom made (looks funky but works) secondary chamber for reactor (reduce pH swings). It's an older looking setup, never tried to run it myself but saw the owner take it offline at his place so I know it was working. Only caveat being the equipment is older looking (salt spray on regulator and needle valve, a little rust here and there). I'll throw in an old, rusty (but working) CO2 tank for free (still has CO2 in it, probably only 1/4 - 1/2 full), caveat again being it is pretty rusty and its huge. I think it is a 20lb tank, but my estimation skills are horrible. Various Plusrite used bulbs (6 months or less), mostly 14k, some 20k 250-watt SE - $10 or a nice zoa frag (heads up, I have most of the common zoas) ARO ballast rated for 175-watt for SE bulb and 150-watt for DE bulb - $60 $55 sold! Has protective glass shield which is not shown on the picture (comes with used DE bulb - guessing 20k but don't know, recommend replacing bulb though)

Here's a good read on why you should use reflectors on any T5 bulbs. Let's see, would you rather have 1 bulb with a reflector... or have 3 bulbs with no reflectors to equal the same par.
