  1. For the red sea kits, make sure you are reading the instructions carefully and using the plunger line to line up your 1ml and not the liquid line. It accounts for the space in the needle tip. If you pull the plunger line past 1ml, you may be off on your readings.
  2. Aww look, they are making friends.
  3. Where's part of town is lildodoo's place? I may be able to help if its not too far away.
  4. You too Dean! Thanks for dropping by!
  5. Divided acrylic tank usually used for store displays. Drilled in the back already. Asking $60.
  6. Large one is back on the market. He's huge!!!
  7. Hi Lara, Glad you decided to post about the tank. Welcome to the club and it was great meeting you the other day. Us ARCers love pictures so post some if you get the chance! I suspect the 6-line wrasse as they are bullies, even in a bigger tank as your 55-gal. The other suspect would be the coral banded shrimp as they are known to kill fish while sleeping. They are opportunistic and will get food where they can. I don't know much about grammas but if it holes up in the rock at night to sleep, perhaps the shrimp is is taking that opportunity to find a midnight snack.
  8. Good seeing you again Emilio! Thanks for the compliment and hope you feel better soon.

    Hello!

I just do the opposite of what Sascha tells me and the tank has been awesome!
  10. Haha, I will have it on reserve for you until then sir.

    Hello!

Great information Sascha I wish you had posted that when I started back in 2003. Welcome to the club Gonzo!
  12. I see your tank future becoming overly plump and beautiful from coral from Niko's Reef.
  13. I stole the skimmer already. It was rated for up to 550 gals so it might have been a little overkill on your tank.
  14. That's known as the "Hand of Destiny" in my house.
  15. Got some tang macro algae snacks from Subsea today (thanks Patrick!). My first experiment in macro algae preference... Both specimens remained untouched by both the blonde naso and the powder blue in the new tank. The good thing at least is they both enjoy nori. In the old tank however, the foxface and yellow tang were keenly interested in the ulva and the sailfin devoured the feather caulerpa with glee.
  16. Yeah, my wife is pretty excited about the whole first born son thing! Lol
  17. More stuff to get rid of! True Fire and Ice (red/orange skirts, crisp white/blue centers...original from hydro): $15 for 10-polyp frags -3 frags left Mother colony Green fungia plates: $15/plate - 2" diameter expanded -1 pending, 2 left Combo Zoa/Paly rock: $60 - has 4 grandis palys, 13 eagle eyes, and a single AOG polyp (sorry for cruddy pic) -sold Mother colony with both cinnamon (plain brown) and grandis palys (green and brown): -sold Spongodes monti frags: $5/frag -all sold representative pic Setosa frag - $15 (this thing is easily the brightest thing in my tank!) -sold Also selling tester SPS frags of an unknown colony I have: $5/large frag -2 pending, 2 left frag old picture of colony Large frags of purple meridiana: $15/frag (browned out since off to side on frag rack) - 1 frag is whole, the other is 4 large branches expoxied together. example picture Random loose polyps on my sandbed and frag rack (about 9 polyps including a candy apple red polyp, several fire and ice polyps, eagle eyes, and oxides) Asking $20 (quite the deal if you are willing to glue the polyps yourself) -pending PM is key. Thanks!
  18. Looking good Victoly! Was the SPS in the front left the only victim of STN?
  19. Awesome! I guess I know my plans for Saturday.
  20. I set it down to hard on a 2x4 and the corner caused a pressure point and cracked it. I picked up a 180-gal with just two and was fine. It was heavy but manageable. If it's 1/2" glass you could do it. If it's 5/8" or thicker, I'd bring at least four. If the pickup is somewhere north, be happy two lend two pythons to help lift and load it.
  21. Good things come in 3's! Thanks for the awesome copperband butterfly Offroadodge!
