  1. Thanks for the heads up. I may "borrow" that idea myself!
  2. Great looking tank. Always been a fan of the darker blue background. Don't be too surprised if my black background goes that way sometime in the near future.
  3. What skimmer are you running?
  4. Same as Sherita, rock is probably not the culprit. Dip that rock, shake out the detritus, and put it in the new tank.
  5. Maybe majano? Kill eet too!
  6. Looks like aiptasia to me but can't fully confirm unless I can see a better picture of it. Like Sherita said... Kill Eet!
  7. Eddie, From the build, it looks like an old Oceanic tank. I had the 125-gallon version with the exact same middle brace and ran it fine for 3 years with 250-watt metal halides and the plusrite bulbs (SE 20k). Here is what my tank looked like at it peak before I began my upgrade to the 210-gallon tank. I think you should be fine. Just keep the glass clean on top from salt creep and dust and on the bottom, clean it as well. If the water touches it at all, I would try to aim to cut your overflow teeth deeper to lower the tank water so that algae doesn't grow on it. Excuse the overly blue picture but it was taken with my wife's Iphone that tends to blue up images really well. You can see some of my biggest colonies were below that middle brace.
  8. I guess that information is important! 48" x 13" x 12"
  9. CLOSED!!! I will be PM'ing everyone their total amounts to PayPal me and will be putting in the order tonight once I receive all the funds. Thanks all!
  10. Price drop, $40 so I can have my fish room back. Come on you clownfish breeders! This is a steal!
  11. Thanks Kim! For those who prefer moving fish:
  12. Yeah, I've heard the sell the replacement trim kits for a reasonable price. In the meantime, some 2x4's and a wood clamp would be nice until you get it ordered and installed.
  13. Alright, guess we'll wait one more day and then close it. For all those still on the fence, you have until Tuesday at midnight to let me know what you want and Paypal me before I close this thing up and order. Thanks all! -Ty
  14. It was nice to come home to this today. All the big fish are in the new tank and swimming around like they are in a huge school.
  15. Huzzah, he's finally going to test his phosphate! You don't need to order reagents too bud?
  16. I stared at my tank forever while it was filling up. It was the slowest process ever! And your tank is even bigger!
  17. Mine seemed to quiet down once they were put into practice for a bit. Also, at first I was running them full blast but that was not really needed. With the various modes I run now and at different intensities, I rarely ever hear it unless it's in cleanout mode, in which both pumps blast on full for 30 seconds and alternate after that.
  18. We should have free shipping right there. I'll wait to see if there any other takers tonight and aim to order in the morning for ship out that same day. I'll PM everyone later this evening with PayPal info and details. Pick up will be at my place. I live by the Domain.
  19. We roughly need about $41 more and we are golden.
  20. I would say at least 80-100 pounds of live rock to keep it alive long-term. Having no other competitors for the pods is critical as well.
  21. Who needs a giant skimmer that is rated up to 400 gallons? If you do, you're in business because I am offering up a tried and true ASM G4+ skimmer for the low, low price of $200. For those familiar with my tank, I ran an ASM G3 (rated only 250 gallons) for 3 years on my 125 gallon tank with excellent results including a thriving SPS population and no water changes for 3 years. That's not entirely all the skimmers doing but it sure did help! Now you have a chance at its much bigger and more higher rated brother. Here's a link to its specs: http://www.marinedepot.com/Over_250_Gallons-ASM_G_Series_Protein_Skimmers-AG1111-FIPSISVSOT-AG1195-vi.html PM is the key. Please make sure you look up measurements online to make sure this beast fits your sump. Thanks all! -Ty
  22. Just throwing it out there, but I have about $50 of stuff I want to order and no real rush to order so be happy to wait until we get enough for free shipping. Anybody else have stuff to order, let it be known and once we get enough, we'll put the order through.
