I think I'll be heading to RR welding supply on my next refill. Thanks for the heads up Sascha. Pretty creative with the kalk dripper. I'm sure you have it set in the bottle correctly but just in case, make sure you are off the bottom and not sucking up sediment at the bottom. Also, check your Ca levels buddy. If you do kalk, you are adding Ca as well. Not sure if that was your intent but just wanted to mention if it helped. Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk

Looks great! That purple stylo is a great grower. Mine went from a 1" frag to a football in about 3 years. -

I know the SPS fever has hit an all-time high when you come home with a CaRX. I tend to take it easier on folks who play with the same toys I play with. Wait until you get an Apex... you'll feel like an idiot all by yourself like I did when I first got my mine. Special shout out to Wizard (Tim) who I bugged relentlessly when I first got my CaRX. I'll pour some CaRX effluent on the ground in his memory. Good guy!

Yeah, if it is GFO, that would seem like a very messy situation. I got my idea of dosing phosphates when my tank was phosphate-limited from the people dosing nitrates to a nitrate-limited biopellet setup. Be interesting to see the cost weighed out between running a GFO reactor and GFO media or dosing nitrates with a peristaltic pump for additional phosphate removal when using biopellets already.

Pictures look great! My input is if you are around 200-300, I'd be surprised if they are STN'ing due to not enough light. At worst, they would just darken in color but most SPS will grow in that just fine and look great. My old tank was mostly all kept around 300 with only a couple pieces in par higher than that. I'll start bottling some of my RO water and sell it as "Ty's spectacularly awesome RO water". It'll take spaghetti stains right out of a shirt and even cures blindness! I bet you're right about the frag tank. It must be pretty low though to cause STN. I used a clip-on MH over my frag tank and everything slowly started STN'ING to and my par was like 50-75.
