  1. Added Setosa and war coral frag. Updated some pictures too for large favia to give better idea of colors.
  2. Never saw so many smiling faces at one place and time. Thanks for the good times and the good stuff Jake and his crew.
  3. Is that the reef equivalent of egg on your face?
  4. For you? Just $50/trip for delivery. [emoji16]
  5. That's actually an Apex patio misting fan module. You can place the tank on a patio during the brutal Austin summers and when it gets above 90 degrees, the fan automatically turns on and a pump sprays fine saltwater mist in front of the fan to cool you off. Bonus... it smells like the ocean on your patio. If you get the crushed coral and lay it at your feet, you'll think you're on vacation somewhere.
  6. This one mari was from Aquatek. I was just cruising by the store and dropped in just to check out their fish and saw that beauty and had to have it.The colonies on the left are actually just sitting on top of the rocks. I can move them around at will. Nothing like being able to move basketball/volleyball sized colonies around at leisure. Haha.

    Ckyuv's 90g

I'd give it time first as most SPS turn some shade of green while coloring up and acclimating to a new tank. If it's been stable color-wise for awhile, then yes, more green on the red planet means less light... more red means lots of light. I always like to put it somewhere in between low and high light to get the red/green contrasting of color.
  8. Hopefully this new lighting regiment will clear up some of the issues with the corals lately. I heed with caution to change the lighting so much. We've gone from 60%, down to 40%, and then up to 80%. If it were me, I'd had made a more gradual transition to 80% just for caution sake but I can't really see how the corals are reacting so you can judge best how they are taking it. Levels are all looking pretty good! Now with time... the corals will acclimate to these levels and hopefully stabilize from this point. How long ago did you add a flame angel? I can't remember how long ago you added it. Do you think it brought something in that could be spreading with your fish?
  9. Orange you going to be really happy with a green fungia plate?

    Ckyuv's 90g

Looks great! Is that the red planet of the Ckyuv to KimP, back to Ckyuv origin?
  11. If the mandarins were still alive, I may not have offered to collect the eggs anyways. They were pelagic spawners... for me to time when they were mating and the capture of the eggs before the other fish eat them would be very difficult indeed. I like you... but I don't like anybody THAT much! I'll add a pair again one day once the pod population starts to build up again. In the mean time, I'll epoxy a tile over the spot the clownfish spawn at after this clutch hatches and see if they'll start spawning on it in anticipation of you recovering from the wedding planning and honeymoon fun and can settle down to be a fish farmer.
  12. I was hoping you would see this post! You lurker you! Got one set aside for you!
  13. I meant I want one too!
  14. Ohhh ohhh, pick me, pick me Manny!
  15. I should be able to make. I can bring some snacks for everyone. Looking forward to meeting some new people!

  17. Pink lemonade colonies are stunning! It was definitely on my list to repopulate my tank. Looking forward to the update pics!
  18. Prime example of one of my frags. The darker, less pronounced coralites are from the original frag and the white, more spaced out and pronounced coralites are from the growth. Obviously this is more dramatic from mariculture to tank than it is probably from tank to tank.
  19. What do you mean by shape of an acro? The coralites? If so, I've seen frags grow out with entirely different looking coralite formation than the original frag.
  20. That cotton candy looks real nice! It's too early to tell on the pink lemonade acro Manny. I don't even bother trying to identify until the frag grows out. You'd be surprised how different an acro can look once it starts growing.
  21. Sorry bud, couldn't tell with the way you worded it earlier. [emoji16]
  22. Thanks Jim! I rocked (pun intended) the neverending rock wall in my last tank for 3 years. It's nice to have a tank big enough to utilize negative space as well... even though I always have to fight the part of me that wants to lay down more rock so I can attach more SPS colonies! [emoji86] Gig'em, if you're serious, I can see if I can add a flat tile where they lay and start timing the hatch cycle. That way I can hit you up the night before they should hatch and pull the tile for you. Let me know sir.
